This year has been my BEST & FUNNEST all hallows eve to date, and I’m not just saying that because it’s the most recent one. Due to the fact that Halloween is not really celebrated in Costa Rica, we did an impromptu trip a hop skip and jump away to Orlando / Tampa for the festivities!! There just HAPPENED to be a Horror Convention going on a week and half before the day PLUS Orlando Universal Studios has their big Halloween Nights of Horror at the same time… so we hopped on a plane and flew to Orlando.
Right away the annual Zombie Walk was going on & we were checking into the Wyndham Hotel where the Con was taking place. They all stumbled by us during check in time, lol. The Convention itself was just OK. I’m not sure what I was expecting since the only convention experience I have is Webmaster Shows. But the passes were cheap & the showfloor had a lot of cool stuff to look at but also a lot of goofy crap too. The hotel was nice and we like Orlando so it was easy to have fun there. Shawn & his friend Mike came down for Horror Nights so we hung out with them & also watched some movie screenings ( some B indie movies and also the original Texas Chainsaw which I’ve never seen before ). The dinner scene in Texas Chainsaw was unnerving, even though they didn’t show practically anything! It was the girls reaction and fear that really set the mood. There was some live shows and bands going on as well.
Universal Horror Nights was awesome… BUT very packed with people. Seriously, 30-45 minute line ups to get into each house. Of course the HH’s were amazingly done because they have the budget and the props to do it up! There were tons of “scare actors” in and out of the houses, and all in character because they actually have standards, LOL. The whole park’s ambiance was set very nicely, with fog machines and creepy music. We didn’t pay for the “speed pass” so we had to come back a few days later to go to the houses that we missed, it was THAT PACKED.
On Monday we drove to Tampa so we didn’t discover that my server got hacked until later that night!!! Yes, my server was deleted, and the backup server has hacked & deleted (well, the hacker made backups on his server). He was going to hold them for ransom but after talking to him by email & he found out I’m a girl & I guess he felt bad for me so he gave me back the backups.
In Tampa, we went to Busch Gardens for their Halloween thing and it F-ing rocked so bad. First, the coasters were superfun, looooove big coasters. We went to this buffet dinner they had, after the park closes but before it opens to the nighttime Halloween stuff. It had some goofy musical with it so who can resist. So right after dinner the diners were allowed to go through the park EARLY before they let in the public… so we rushed around and went to most of the HH’s fast! For many of them, we were the only ones going though…Â and it made it like 100x’s freakier!!! It was the most fun I’ve had at HH’s ever. Even though Busch didn’t have the budget like Universal it seemed like they TRIED HARDER to scare you… with the ambiance, with their props, makeup and the actual acting. They were more innovative than Universal IMHO. One of the scariest houses was designed to look just like a NY underground nightclub…. for the Undead that is!! Being the only ones there, the actors will have nothing else to do but to focus their scare on you and you alone, no distractions. It was JUST LIKE BLADE, I swear. They had the body bags hanging from the ceiling and a couple of them even wiggled! Another great stunt I’ve never seen before was they had a “plant” in front of us, a dude pretending to be a visitor. Then a masked killer grabbed him through slats on the wall and dragged him kicking and screaming away!! Another great one I liked was a backwoods house with a crazy familia living in it. So we went through the houses pretty fast and went on some more rides. That park is really big, it takes a long time to walk from one end to the other… argh.
Saturday night, before Halloween we all went down to Ybor City for Guavaween which is where they close down the main street and people party like it’s Mardi Gras. First, a bunch of floats went by throwing beads. Then there were live bands & performances on different stages and of course TONS of BOOZE being sold. Basically people walk up and down the streets partying. Apparently last years, there were lots of “girls gone wild” but this year seemed pretty tame compared to the stories. We went to a sushi place for Saki & sushi for a bit. I dressed in my girly Pirate costume I got on Ebay and Rob was Shaun from Shaun of the Dead! It was an interesting experience but I can DEFINATLEY say that it lacked soul… the true spirit of the holiday, which resulted in somewhat empty and hollow undertones.
On Halloween Day, we were staying at D’s house and I did some errands & drove to Target to buy some halloween candy & stuff for that night. During the drive, I got to reflect on life, past Halloweens and also Florida. I won’t lie; it’s WEIRD when it’s so hot and sunny, and you’re used to seeing your breath when you exhale, and layering in sweaters and autumn colored henleys. It was weird but I liked it, very much. I smiled the whole drive. I got a shot glass set and a Halloween pre-made gingerbread house set to decorate. I’ve got to say that Target way exceeds Walmart in quantity and quality of Halloween stuff by far. Back at D’s house, it was getting dark so I got dressed in my Pirate costume and got all the candy out! I was so excited; I put out the pumpkins we all carved at Jenni’s and the kids all came… in droves! I actually ran out of candy & Ryan had to go buy more quick!! I loved seeing all the kids in costume so much, I hope one day we’ll live somewhere where they have trick or treating and it’s hot *hint hint*
That night was a letdown though. We didn’t know what was going on so Rob, D and I drove to Ybor City to the clubbing district but it was dead. So we naturally thought that the Hard Rock would be happening but it wasn’t in the least. Some older people in costume were dancing to a cover band in the lounge area but that was it. My bad for not doing the research before heading out. But handing out the candy really made my night & if we had watched some Halloween Specials on TV that would’ve been a perfect Halloween week!
After Oct 31, Target had a massive blowout. woot!

This was a groundbreaking year because it was my first year away from home for Halloween, ever… and I didn’t die!! And I had a great time!!
My friend had rented a house in Vegas for like 5 weeks, doing his annual Vegas vacation thingy so I decided to join him and go down for Halloween Week. So for someone who’s NEVER experienced a big city USA All Hallows Eve celebration… I had to go all out and full scale… what a frightening thought. I had an indian girl costume, put together by articles of clothing I already owned & were in my closet. It was also my first year not being something scary for a DECADE.
The first thing we did on the first night was go to some haunted houses “fright fest” thing & it turned out with was in an old parking lot and the stupid HH’s were trailers. Some could’ve been double wides but even that couldn’t save the experience. It was cheezy… it was goofy… it was a business… and that’s what it felt like. There was one where they have blacklights all over and they paint the walls with neon glow-in the dark paints so it looks all trippy and stuff. Little did I know that was going to be a popular gimmick this year and next!
It was also my first time in Las Vegas strictly for pleasure and NOT being at multiple conventions!! SO i made this huge friggin list of touristy stuff I needed to do. The short list of stuff I did do: Red Rock Canyon, the roller coaster at NYNY, shooting guns at the indoor range, a goofy Haiwaiian Luau at the Imperial Palace, Hoover Dam, the Wax Museum, the Atomic Testing Museum, the Nevada Historical Museum, Bodies: The Exhibition (friggin amazing, you MUST see it). Wow, that was a lot of stuff!! That weekend prior to Halloween, we went to some Halloween party at MGM Studio 54 but we didn’t dress up, some people did. They had stage dancers doing choreographed shows to songs like “Thriller” and we met a nice couple who were going to the infamous Fetish Ball. That weekend we also went to another Halloween party but DRESSED UP THIS TIME at Tao in the Venetian. Everyone was dressed up and we danced most of the night, super fun!! Then we walked around the strip late that night while everyone else was all dressed up too, it was a cool street party atmosphere for sure!
On that Monday we went to the big indoor amusement park at Circus Circus; we wanted to go on the weekend but the lineup was WAYYYYYYYY too long so we came back another day. Dude… it was so freaking awesome I don’t even know how to describe it. the mood was set perfectly, it was dark, they had a lot of ghouls roaming around scaring people. And of course all 7 of their haunted houses ROCKED! It wasn’t so packed that you’re in there shoulder to shoulder so that was really nice. And we rode the indoor coaster a bunch of times & not knowing where you are going makes it that much more fun.
Halloween fell on Tuesday that year and we decided to forgo a club but to go see BITE! a vampire musical at the Stratosphere instead (we were pretty partied out that time). I had never been to a musical dance production before so we got tickets early and then hung out on the strip until it was close to dusk. I got dressed in my “Pocahontas” outfit (omg I look sooooooo adorable ) and handed out candy to all the kids that knocked on the door!! that was super fun. We watched some scary movie and then went to see BITE! It was kind of goofy for sure. There was so dialogue or anything, just dancing & acting to well known songs, and also some rope acrobatics & gymnasts too. Well that was it for Halloween night, it was a quiet one but we did so much the week before it was nice to have a break.
You can see my 2006 Halloween E-Card here!
Little did I know ( I could never have predicted this in a million years ) that soon I would be moving to another country and be getting ready for my weeding, oops! I meant WEDDING,

Can you believe that at this age I had still not been away from home during Halloween?? Pretty sheltered huh? I don’t know what I thought would happen to me if I did leave… maybe I’d miss home & trick or treating so much I’d be heartbroken and depressed. Or I’d hav a nervous breakdown? LOL.
This year went fast and was a hard Halloween for me. That past summer of 2005 I had visited San Fransisco, went to Internext and then road tripped from Internext, Hollywood FL to New Orleans, LA. It was my first road trip by myself and an excellent experience to say the least. New Orleans was also the FIRST ever place I have rolled into and thought “that’s it, I’m home!” Seriously, I was so enamoured and in love with that place I couldn’t wait to go back for Mardi Gras and look at properties and live there. And then like 3 days after getting back home Hurricane Katrina happened and NO will never be the same again.
Now, it’s very rare for me to really like a place and when I fell in love with NO, seeing it completely destroyed before my eyes was just too much for me. I got so depressed from it and so fucked up mentally, that ummm I started sewing (Yes you read that right). So I made some interesting creations. It also reminded me of my mortality…
Then the most life changing event happened. It will change the course of my life & outlook for a long ass time and change my financial situation. I was making dinner like always and my best friend said “holy shit that was fast!” and I turned around and said in a deadpan voice, “i’m not fucking around.” It was funny at the moment but it was a life mantra which spurned a whole avalanche of events shortly thereafter
So, that October I had planned to go to Vancouver for the week and shoot for my brand new site idea. But then things dictated that it would be better if I went just after halloween instead. I think because a lot of the models were busy that week. So I got to spend my very last Samhain at Christina Lake and also my last Halloween with Chicklet. It came & went very fast, mainly because I was preparing for my Vancouver trip and had a lot on my mind at the time.
Halloween day consisted of doing my best friends make up (attaching horns to his head) and doing my usual zombie makeup in a rush. In a rush because I ALWAYS wait too long and then I’m super hungry when I start… and I’m pressed for time. So more than not, I can’t take time to perfect the lil zombie details, lol. I remember dinner being made and the kids were coming to the door already… Chicklet enjoyed seeing all the kids in costume & so did I. A local girl from the area that I knew dropped by and we went trick or treating for a little bit, which meant like going around the block (they’re kind of big blocks) and of course some of the elderly people wanted to chat and wanted to dawdle all over Chicklet in costume… so that slowed things down quite a bit. By the time I got home it was almost time to go down to the public beach for fireworks again. That night we just watched some Halloween specials & but I can’t remember the specifics sadly. I wish I could.
Right afterwards, like a couple days after… I drove to Vancouver to make my fortune.

This is my first Halloween NOT in vancouver but at my personal favorite paradise CHRISTINA LAKE, BC which is still the best place I have ever known. It was also Chicklets 2nd Halloween and I am pretty sure I stuck him in the cutest little piggy suit (see torture pic above). He LOVED IT! Just kidding, he hated any and all clothing on him and pretty much imobilized him totally, especially when the hood fell on his head as he’s running and then he can’t see anything at all! ROFL.

I took some of my decorations that I left at my parents house and moved them to my first actual house (not condo!) ever… it was my first yard & house to decorate on my own, with my best friend whom I bought the house with. The box of decorations looked like a lot, until they were up and spread out on the yard and around the house, inside & out… then it just looked like asuch a piddly amount
We bought pumpkins and carved them!! I discovered Chicklet liked to eat the pumpkin goo that was being pulled out, what a weird silly dog he is.
On Halloween day we went over for a walk to the post office all dressed up. I was gothed out with clothing I made & Crispy had on devils horns which looked very convincing since I helped put them on. I was soooooooooooooooo excited at the thought of handing out candy for the first time in MY LIFE!! We bought good candy from Superstore… i wasn’t going to cheap out that bad… haha First I went trick or treating just around the block, with Crispy & Chicklet in tow of course. It was cool to have a glimpse of my new neighbhors and have a peek inside their homes too. I went out so early that there were barely any kids out yet at all. I wanted to come home quick to give out candy.
Seeing the kids in costume at the door was so gratifying and it made me feel all happy inside. Not THAT many kids came but enough to keep me busy during Halloween specials. At 8pm, there were fireworks and a bonfire at the beach down the road so we went over ( TTing pretty much stopped at 8 so everyone could go to the fireworks ). We saw some ppl we knew, hung out and had hot apple cider from those plastic McDonalds containers and watched the bonfire & fireworks. Then the town pretty much died then and we just went home and watched Halloween shows & whatever was on. Man, do I ever miss the woodstove. That was an awesome small town Halloween!

It’s Chicklets first Halloween!!! ARGH!!! Again, I was in Los Angeles for a couple weeks and it was the same feeling… it didn’t really feel like Halloween because of the weather & I was too busy to really miss anything about Autumn. We didn’t do much Halloweeny stuff since most of the good parties were going to happen after I left. When I got back to Vancouver, there was the Vancouver Summit, a webmaster convention that was NOT put on my Sweet Entertainment Group for the first time. The first convention I went to was last year, as a brand new webmaster & it freaking rocked big time. This convention was just ok… unorganised for the most part, the parties were just ok, nothing phenominal and the attendance was definately lacking. I got to meet a ton of great people though, some that I’ve made lasting friendships with til this day. With all this stuff going on there wasn’t much time to do a lot of Halloweenie stuff.
On the big day, I’m sure I went over to Lougheed for food & to see what was going on there. I got ready at my place & did my usual zombie makeup & went over to Audreys (who now lived literally in the next condo complex, so like a 3 minute walk). Audrey, her daugther and newborn baby and a couple other friends piled into my Dodge Caravan (the name just exudes speed all the way… DODGE!!!) and drove about 10 minutes away to this part of burnaby that was supposed to be richer. So we went trick or treating for as long as the kids could handle it. I brought Chicklet of course!! He was dressed up in his cute tiger outfit with a hood that had ears & eyes on the top of it…. he got sooooooo much attention it was INSANE. People were giving extra treats to me just because he was too cute; I had to wait while they called over their moms and grandmas to fawn over the little furry guy. It was quite an experience for him to say the least. After that, I went home, checked to see that the VCR was taping all my Halloween TV Specials and then Brad T. (who lived in my condo complex) & I went to this Woody’s Bar in Coquitlam where they were having a Halloween party night. Two of his co-worker friends from “the eye in the sky” in the casinos joined us. Quite a lot of ppl were dressed up; I think I was the only asian girl in that place. I got to dance & things were good. Then we went to Roosters, some country bar & they were having their costume costest when we got there…. things dies down a bit and it was late so we were going to leave. They left in their Firebird (I’m totally not surprised) and not even 10 minutes after they left, Brad & I get a phone call from them. They were freaking out because they sideswiped a car (while driving drunk and fast) and caused the car to have an accident but they just kept on going! Hahaha. This was literally down the road from our houses; so they were flipping out that they would call the cops or get their liceanse plate so we decided that going to Dennys up the road at like 3am while they were loud & really drunk would be the best plan!! And it was… I was starving…
Since no one puked that night… it was an excellent halloween!

Wow, what a year of change this has been. Let’s see… I became a webmaster, started travelling lots of meeting tons of interesting people and making money!! yay!! This year I went down to Los Angeles and was there for a couple weeks but scheduled to return a few days before Halloween. It was a BIG step for me because as you recall, a couple years ago when I was away on the Island for October I felt sad
Not in LA though! I was so busy and it was so sunny there, it didn’t even feel like October. That was very foreign to me & didn’t know what to make of it. The brisk crisp air combined with the smell of burning stuff made the perfect Pacific Northwest autumn smell which I equated directly with halloween. Now I didn’t have that… and it was hot. That is just too weird. I was staying with a guy, Andrew, in the Valley and we did some fun Halloweeny stuff. We went downtown to Hollywood Blvd and went to some really silly haunted house experience… I have to use that word to describe this since
1. it was in a commercial building, in the middle of a mini mall complex
2. the employees were so not into it and way too cool for school
HE also scored free tickets to Six Flags but we didn’t even decide to go one day until later in the afternoon. By the time we drove there it was almost dinner time & the haunted houses were open!! It was my FIRST EVER big commercial HH, like the ones I’ve been reading about online & in Fangoria for years. It was very overwhelming… it was dark, there were blinky lights… and fog machines. The line ups for ALL the HH’s were retardedly long, like up to 45 minutes and then when you go through it just seems so fast. There was an alien type HH with loud rock music and disections & super gory that stuck out in my mind. There were SO MANY people going in through the attraction with you that it took away any kind of creepiness or tension, since the buffer is about 8 people deep from you. It was more like looking at fancy decorations. I’m not complaining, I’m just saying I would’ve had a hella better time if the lines were shorter & they only let X amount of people through at a time. Of course those 2 things contradict eachother!! We didn’t have a chance to go on any rides since most of the time was spent in waiting lines.
I was going to miss most of the real Halloween parties & inudstry events by going home less than a week b4 the big day, but thats OK. I’d rather be home for all that. A guy I was having a thing with also asked me to go on a Mexican vacation but I was like ehhhhh…. I’m going to stay home. lol.
Halloween day… again… I am not sure what I did but I’m sure it consisted of getting last minute stuff, driving around and shopping. There possibly could have been coffee at Lougheed. I don’t know what I’m rambling about… late afternoon I went to Audreys place (she was living off 41st and Cambie, block away from Oakridge Mall) and we went for Pho. Then we took her daughter to check out the Halloweeny events at the mall. They had trick or treating with the usual crappy 1 lolipop rule. We came back & some other people came over. Audrey stayed home to pass out candy while we went trick or treating around the area…. It’s so screwed up because I can’t remember if I was a zombie or burn victim or what!?! I’m sure I used the ole latex with tissue, slap on some geletin & let’s call it a day trick, as I normally do. We got back & checked out our candy score. I took off my makeup and it was time to meet Steve M downtown for…
Trailer Trash night at the Purple Onion in Gastown!!! It was a weekly event but since it was Halloween, it was packed & everyone really dressed up! I didn’t do much, just wore an 80′s style mid-driff baring off the shoulder top but Steve had on tight jeans, red plaid vest, a trucker cap with a blonde wig underneath…. and this is NOT a stretch for him… he just pulled this stuff out of his closet. It’s ok, he grew up in Terrace.  The music rocked, lots of hair band metal with some 80′s pop thrown in and lots of mullets. A friend from wrestling was there looking hott… basically there was a lot of hot guys there in tight jeans and it was an excellent night!

OMG i’m getting up there! hahaha. Damn, I have so many pictures I need to get down to Costa Rica and scan in so I can post them and back em up… before I lose them all. This year Josh & I were scary killer clowns!!! Yes I sewed the costumes… at this point in my life I had NEVER put on a cheap platic/polyester store bought costume in my LIFE… what a sell out I am now. I bought the fabric and sewed us complimentary crazy clown costumes & we went to go buy the accessories at Walmart across our condo. And of course we are doing all this like 1 day before Samhain because we were so last minute. And of course Walmart was a FREAKING ZOO in the holiday section & there was pretty much nothing left. We went to my parents house the week before to decorate the yard, like I always did… that was a tradition until I left Vancouver.
That year was so fun!! We went to a pumpkin patch in Cloverdale where they had wagons and a big ass corn maze! Then we drove all the way to Chilliwack to this family run HH. It was dark when we got there for opening time but we were the only people so we went through by ourselves… which made it so spoooooky. there was one instance where they dropped a bloody body from the ceiling and it landed loudly on a metal grating right above us. It was an amazing effort in the family’s own barn, they made great use of the space and didn’t rely soley of surprise popping out and yelling tactics to scare. Plus they decorated the yard nicely too. I have a soft spot for yard haunts… I was even registered on the canadian halloween registry a few years back. lol.
There’s a picture of me carving ghost pumpkins above & also playing with the neighbors kitty. How come they only have ghost pumpkins some years and not others?
On Halloween, we went early to the Stanley Park Train ride to buy tickets for that night, since they usually sell out fast. Then we went back and got our costumes ready and went to Josh’s moms house to take out his sister TTing. We went out pretty early about the 4th and Renfrew area (surprisingly… that is EXACTLY where I grew up until I was 14). We were out for longer than I thought his sister could handle it and then we got fed (very important, getting fed). We picked up this asian girl we met online ( I meant we had hung out with her before, not at that moment, LOL) and drove to Stanley Park. The train ride was pretty cool; it runs all year but for Halloween they make little scenes & decorate the path & areas with scary entertainers. All I can really remember were these guys on stilts and Demons with big horns breathing fire! It was funny too because we had originally met this girl because we wanted to have a threesome with her but I have ZERO game and she was really shy too so none of us were going to make the first move. I know I know that’s so lame. She was going to meet some friends and then hit the clubs later so we went back home for a bit but we were tired & I just wanted to chill out and watch Halloween specials… still the best part of the night….
I thought I’d be exempt from having my yearly mega- facial rash from my latex allergies since I was a clown this time BUT NOOOOOO… shortly after halloween, I did my Level 2 first aid and they USED LATEX GLOVES so I seriously broke out everywhere… my whole face & all up my arms.

Woot! We’ve passed the millenium so we’ve made it this far. I started working back in loss prevention, this time for The Bay Richmond and I was with Josh at the time. Somehow, i freaked out and decided to chop off all my hair not that long ago… and dye it BRIGHT red… I am I don’t know how I managed to stay undercover and look inconspicuous at work. Being in a city full of hongers with crazy fashion helped, hahaha. I recall having to sew all evening the night before All Hallow’s Eve because he decided he wanted to be a ninja last minute!!! Like I had to stay up real late slave because he wanted an AUTHENTIC ninja costume, with proper lace up gauntlets & everything. Yeah… I’m pretty kick ass, I know this.
Again… the day time was a complete blur… my lack of memory is starting to seriously worry me. I mean, Halloween, to me is NOT just about the one evening… it’s all the events, feelings and experiences leading up to it and if it’s all a blank to me… I’ll write more about it later; right now I need to just focus on remembering stuff.
That evening, I dressed as a zombie AGAIN… putting less and less effort and creativity into applying the make up. Now it’s more like “lets get the freaking latex in the tissue” time and all I can think about is the candy, lol. We went over to a friend of George’s and went trick or treating around the main & 25th area. We couldn’t go for too long of a trek since our friends kid was with us (he was about 5 or so). Afterwards we got hungry and then went to the closest Mc Donalds for some snacks and just hung out for a bit. Then Josh & I drove back & I changed into a sexy Red Riding Hood outfit and we went out with some of his friends to a Halloween night at that club… can’t remember name… off Hastings kinda beside the Harbour Center tower… it was kinda lame, as in not very packed at all. Everyone dressed up well of course, it was a goth crowd so it’s like when are they not dressed up… and that was another year gone! LOL
At this point in my life I was TOTALLY relaxed about Halloween & pretty much given up all my dreams of becoming this great haunted attractions consultant… I think I started relaxing at like 21 or so… I’m not dissapointed at all since I’ve realised it’s how I feel about what I do for the holidays. That made ZERO sense I bet; I’ll try and explain it later.

This year, I was travelling all over BC for work and about a week & a half from halloween I was chatting with Audrey on the phone and telling her how lonely I felt (since I always feel like 20X more warm & cuddly around the holidays) from travelling for 2 weeks out of October. Ok, at THIS lame point in my life I had never left Vancouver in October so at a time when I needed hugs I was travelling… & staying in a really cute small town on Vancouver Island, which made me miss my friends even more since the town had such a nice homey feel & activities you’d think you’d find in a small American town somewhere. Sooo… back to the memory, Audrey said that she was going to throw a Halloween party for me, which cheered by up some, but I still couldn’t wait to get back home & get started on this! At the hotel, I made a Halloween diary, just like this one, but written, so it was much shorter entries since hand writing is cumbersome and tiring. I kept it until my move to Christina Lake; perhaps it’s still in my parents garage in storage boxes. If I can find it then I can fill in some of the past blanks, lol.
Back in Vancouver…. Audrey & some other friends decided we’re going to paint my Chevy S10 pickup truck with halloweeny stuff, LOL. I don’t think we used the correct paints though, some of it came off during the heavy rainfall. I was feeling kinda gothy so I dressed the part that week. Then Audrey had the brilliant idea to get a bunch of pumpkins from the pumpkin patch so we can all carve them for the party… I didn’t realise it meant getting 33 punkins!! We went to some of the Richmond farms and starting loading up the truck. Audrey of course got away with somehow doing as little work as possible. I was COVERED in mud carrying pumpkins while she would gingerly pick up the smallest punkin she could find with her fingertips. She had a few people living in their rental house 1 block away from me, so there was MORE than enough pumpkins for us & all our friends.
She also decided it would be a good idea to get a keg of beer as well. Isn’t that funny… it was originally a party for MEEEEEE & it ends up being a drunken keg party. Seriously. Getting the stupid keg near Oakridge & then getting it set up was interesting. On Halloween day, I can’t recall what I did
In the evening, I got ready & did the whole latex thing for my “annual zombie costume” and then trick or treating with… Jeff G was there… and I can’t remember who else! ROFL. We just went around the area & then I went back home to take off the makeup and wearing just normal goth clothes. I should’ve staying in make up but I didn’t think anyone else would really dress up… and I was right. The kids were too cool for school. I don’t remember much about the party itself except everyone was really drunk & I was for sure the only dead sober person there. I wished I hadn’t warn my black high heel boots and a long skirt cuz there was this one “fabulous” girl there that was really annoying me and I was getting ready to throw down with her. Like she was really wrecked & saying stupid things at me, but she got dragged out of there pretty quick before she started puking out my friends car on the way home. LOL. On second thought, I’m glad I didn’t throw down with her since she could’ve easily puked on me. It was a loooong night.

I was working at Slave On Foods as an undercover floorwalker. I had a kick ass 1980 burgandy Monte Carlo that ate up a lot of gas. Fortunately it was cheap back then! I was SUCH a tomboy at this time. I honestly am not sure of what happened this year so I am not going to say anything until I get it all sorted out. Onto the next year.
ADDED MARCH 11, 2009 – George and his new Korean girlfriend (now his wife) came over with one of her other Korean student friends. They were studying in the country and have never celebrated or seen halloween before so they wanted to trick or treat. I helped them with the makeup and we all went as either a ghoul or zombie. We went trick or treating around my area for while. The weird thing is that I cannot remember what we did afterwards.
