This year, I was travelling all over BC for work and about a week & a half from halloween I was chatting with Audrey on the phone and telling her how lonely I felt (since I always feel like 20X more warm & cuddly around the holidays) from travelling for 2 weeks out of October.  Ok, at THIS lame point in my life I had never left Vancouver in October so at a time when I needed hugs I was travelling… & staying in a really cute small town on Vancouver Island, which made me miss my friends even more since the town had such a nice homey feel & activities you’d think you’d find in a small American town somewhere.  Sooo… back to the memory, Audrey said that she was going to throw a Halloween party for me, which cheered by up some, but I still couldn’t wait to get back home & get started on this!  At the hotel, I made a Halloween diary, just like this one, but written, so it was much shorter entries since hand writing is cumbersome and tiring.  I kept it until my move to Christina Lake; perhaps it’s still in my parents garage in storage boxes.  If I can find it then I can fill in some of the past blanks, lol.

Back in Vancouver…. Audrey & some other friends decided we’re going to paint my Chevy S10 pickup truck with halloweeny stuff, LOL.  I don’t think we used the correct paints though, some of it came off during the heavy rainfall.  I was feeling kinda gothy so I dressed the part that week.  Then Audrey had the brilliant idea to get a bunch of pumpkins from the pumpkin patch so we can all carve them for the party… I didn’t realise it meant getting 33 punkins!!  We went to some of the Richmond farms and starting loading up the truck.  Audrey of course got away with somehow doing as little work as possible.  I was COVERED in mud carrying pumpkins while she would gingerly pick up the smallest punkin she could find with her fingertips.  She had a few people living in their rental house 1 block away from me, so there was MORE than enough pumpkins for us & all our friends.

She also decided it would be a good idea to get a keg of beer as well.  Isn’t that funny… it was originally a party for MEEEEEE & it ends up being a drunken keg party.  Seriously. Getting the stupid keg near Oakridge & then getting it set up was interesting.  On Halloween day, I can’t recall what I did :(

In the evening, I got ready & did the whole latex thing for my “annual zombie costume” and then trick or treating with… Jeff G was there… and I can’t remember who else! ROFL.  We just went around the area & then I went back home to take off the makeup and wearing just normal goth clothes.  I should’ve staying in make up but I didn’t think anyone else would really dress up… and I was right.  The kids were too cool for school.  I don’t remember much about the party itself except everyone was really drunk & I was for sure the only dead sober person there.  I wished I hadn’t warn my black high heel boots and a long skirt cuz there was this one “fabulous” girl there that was really annoying me and I was getting ready to throw down with her.  Like she was really wrecked & saying stupid things at me, but she got dragged out of there pretty quick before she started puking out my friends car on the way home. LOL.  On second thought, I’m glad I didn’t throw down with her since she could’ve easily puked on me.  It was a loooong night.
