all hallows eve carving pumpkins
OMG i’m getting up there! hahaha.  Damn, I have so many pictures I need to get down to Costa Rica and scan in so I can post them and back em up… before I lose them all.  This year Josh & I were scary killer clowns!!!  Yes I sewed the costumes… at this point in my life I had NEVER put on a cheap platic/polyester store bought costume in my LIFE… what a sell out I am now.  I bought the fabric and sewed us complimentary crazy clown costumes & we went to go buy the accessories at Walmart across our condo.  And of course we are doing all this like 1 day before Samhain because we were  so last minute.  And of course Walmart was a FREAKING ZOO in the holiday section & there was pretty much nothing left.  We went to my parents house the week before to decorate the yard, like I always did… that was a tradition until I left Vancouver.

That year was so fun!!  We went to a pumpkin patch in Cloverdale where they had wagons and a big ass corn maze!  Then we drove all the way to Chilliwack to this family run HH.  It was dark when we got there for opening time but we were the only people so we went through by ourselves… which made it so spoooooky.  there was one instance where they dropped a bloody body from the ceiling and it landed loudly on a metal grating right above us.  It was an amazing effort in the family’s own barn, they made great use of the space and didn’t rely soley of surprise popping out and yelling tactics to scare.  Plus they decorated the yard nicely too.  I have a soft spot for yard haunts… I was even registered on the canadian halloween registry a few years back. lol.

There’s a picture of me carving ghost pumpkins above & also playing with the neighbors kitty.  How come they only have ghost pumpkins some years and not others?

On Halloween, we went early to the Stanley Park Train ride to buy tickets for that night, since they usually sell out fast.  Then we went back and got our costumes ready and went to Josh’s moms house to take out his sister TTing.  We went out pretty early about the 4th and Renfrew area (surprisingly… that is EXACTLY where I grew up until I was 14).  We were out for longer than I thought his sister could handle it and then we got fed (very important, getting fed).  We picked up this asian girl we met online ( I meant we had hung out with her before, not at that moment, LOL) and drove to Stanley Park.  The train ride was pretty cool; it runs all year but for Halloween they make little scenes & decorate the path & areas with scary entertainers.  All I can really remember were these guys on stilts and Demons with big horns breathing fire!  It was funny too because we had originally met this girl because we wanted to have a threesome with her but I have ZERO game and she was really shy too so none of us were going to make the first move.  I know I know that’s so lame.  She was going to meet some friends and then hit the clubs later so we went back home for a bit but we were tired & I just wanted to chill out and watch Halloween specials… still the best part of the night….

I thought I’d be exempt from having my yearly mega- facial rash from my latex allergies since I was a clown this time BUT NOOOOOO… shortly after halloween, I did my Level 2 first aid and they USED LATEX GLOVES so I seriously broke out everywhere… my whole face & all up my arms.
