pigdog2.jpgThis is my first Halloween NOT in vancouver but at my personal favorite paradise CHRISTINA LAKE, BC which is still the best place I have ever known.  It was also Chicklets 2nd Halloween and I am pretty sure I stuck him in the cutest little piggy suit (see torture pic above).  He LOVED IT!  Just kidding, he hated any and all clothing on him and pretty much imobilized him totally, especially when the hood fell on his head as he’s running and then he can’t see anything at all! ROFL.

I took some of my decorations that I left at my parents house and moved them to my first actual house (not condo!) ever… it was my first yard & house to decorate on my own, with my best friend  whom I bought the house with.  The box of decorations looked like a lot, until they were up and spread out on the yard and around the house, inside & out… then it just looked like asuch a piddly amount :(

We bought pumpkins and carved them!!  I discovered Chicklet liked to eat the pumpkin goo that was being pulled out, what a weird silly dog he is.

On Halloween day we went over for a walk to the post office all dressed up.  I was gothed out with clothing I made & Crispy had on devils horns which looked very convincing since I helped put them on.  I was soooooooooooooooo excited at the thought of handing out candy for the first time in MY LIFE!!  We bought good candy from Superstore… i wasn’t going to cheap out that bad… haha  First I went trick or treating just around the block, with Crispy & Chicklet in tow of course.   It was cool to have a glimpse of my new neighbhors and have a peek inside their homes too.  I went out so early that there were barely any kids out yet at all.  I wanted to come home quick to give out candy.

Seeing the kids in costume at the door was so gratifying and it made me feel all happy inside.  Not THAT many kids came but enough to keep me busy during Halloween specials.  At 8pm, there were fireworks and a bonfire at the beach down the road so we went over ( TTing pretty much stopped at 8 so everyone could go to the fireworks ).  We saw some ppl we knew, hung out and had hot apple cider from those plastic McDonalds containers and watched the bonfire & fireworks.  Then the town pretty much died then and we just went home and watched Halloween shows & whatever was on.  Man, do I ever miss the woodstove.  That was an awesome small town Halloween!
