October 30, 2018 – the day before
Posted by admin in Past Halloweens
I realized that the day before every Halloween (or sometimes even Halloween) I ask myself… is this it for my life? I know it’s the end of the year & reflection time and blah blah blah but every time… I ask myself… this is it? Nothing major changed. Am i supposed to have some life changing revelation? And then when I don’t… I feel empty. Just days before I was so happy with everything, my life, the haunt, the scares and then when it’s “crunch time” I’m like “that’s it??” One year older and just as many unanswered questions and uncertainty. Is it worse cuz I’m having some sort of mid-life? I thought I was over this shit and accepted my impending aging? It feels like I’m still chasing after something greater and I don’t know what it is yet. All I do know is that… next year I want to do the EXACT opposite of what I did this year. I just want to leave and see haunts across the country.
I also feel like I want to quit dance (again, yes I know), and quit doing camera/PA but maybe it’s like this every year and I just forget… and then life goes back to normal. Maybe it’s just my post-holiday drop coming early and I need to fight it and not quit anything.
I just want the whole holiday to be perfect but I don’t know what that means. I have my husband here, check. The haunted house, check. we scared a shit ton of ppl there, check. Horror movies, check. Loads of candy, check. Renewing our vows tomorrow night after the haunt closes, check. So why does it feel like it’s not “perfect” and I’m not doing enough???
Pre-LA convention trip thoughts

one more week til Midsummers Scream! and then another week til ScareLA (3rd time!) Words can’t even express how excited I am….. it’s weird how spiritual I get once I think about all this. Like I cannot verbally express this stuff to anyone else… just feel it, immerse myself and experience but I can’t really share it with anyone else because either I’m not good enough with words to express the feelings or I know they already don’t feel the same way… the people who feel the same way are the ones I meet once I’m there, their the ones that are there with me seeing what I’m seeing.
I’m already mentally preparing myself if our haunt doesn’t happen this year…. I’m gonna be super dissapointed but I realize these things happen, not everyone’s on the same page and even big established haunts sometimes have issues and have to take a year off, like Big Worms or Evil Twin studios…. I mean can you imagine how all the cast felt at Evil Twin when they couldn’t do their haunt last year!? The scope of it…. The only thing I can do is brace myself to the best of my abilities and if it doesn’t happen… well I have ALL the time in the world to be what I truly am first and foremost… a haunt enthusiast! That’s why I never started my own haunt or operated one (and that’s what Shaun has to understand and now see me as a threat) is that I would 100% rather GO TO EVERY HAUNT EVER than have to stay home and own one. So… hypothetically IF the haunt doesn’t happen, I will:
Go to LA closer to Halloween weekend so I can experience ALL the home haunts, ALL of them.
What about a trip to Orlando/Tampa!? a quickie trip of course… I dunno……. OMG. What would I hit…? Nah…. LA’s got a lot. No need for Orlando…. just keep it on the back burner.
Maybe 2 trips to LA? One for Mickeys Halloween Party (yup!! I did my research and I am going as Moana !!) and whatever else is open at the beginning of October and then another quick weekend trip maybe the weekend before Halloween. Tony will be gone to the DR the weekend before, so I won’t feel guilty and so I can hit all the home haunts.
Breaking news!! Evil Twin is NOT doing a haunt for 2017. This is 2 years in a row. Best wishes for them for next year.
October 2017 & the haunt
Posted by admin in Past Halloweens
So we moved it on Friday the 23rd and worked all weekend, several of the weekday nights after 10pm and that following weekend to get it ready for the Oct 7 fire inspection. It passed without incident so we opened the next night. We were unable to secure the awesome location we had last year (which ended up having NOTHING in that space… leaving it totally empty) but we found a very accomodating mall parking lot location which had much less foot traffic going by… I was really sad.
Moving day was… tiring… there was only 1 map on a brown shopping bag & I spilled my soda on it one time… that S will never know about….
The decorating was not great… until Jacob came & rearranged a bunch of stuff and gave us a quickie crash course.
Lauren came out a couple nights to scare & help do makeup…
The crowds where lesser than anticipated for the location. not as good as last year for sure…. but it was still very good some nights… it’d be non-stop lineup outside. There was a pumpkin patch close to us on that side of the parking lot so we realized that next year, we NEED to be closer to the entrance of the pumpkin patch… UNLESS we get our old location back. We need more ceiling cover.
Halloween night was not as busy as I thought we’d be… we didn’t get there til like 9:30 I think.
I had a great time being a much bigger part of it than last year. We had some issues with Blake and his tantrums. Sometimes we were understaffed and some of the young kids helping out needed guidance. We need to address these issues as a group for next year.
List of stuff I need to pick up, collect and secure (freebies):
- 1st room – rocking chair, low coffee table, picture frames, lamp, living room junk
- doll room – baby stuff, plastic knives & weapons to make a killer baby mobile. CD player. dolls.
- Clown room – palettes, balloons, tennis balls or plastic balls.
Random notes for next year:
Windows in the last tarp room would be awesome
Need to paint/distress the walls for a proper feel.
figure out the fog situation… that didn’t really work… just dissipated all over
people need to do double roles.
drop down panels?? yes please
more dolls in the doll hallway!
HALLOWEEN DAY - was a Sunday. Most of the parties were on Fri/Sat but I was at the haunt those days of course & driving everyone, dropping them off so I missed it all… nothing is better than being at the haunt… just wish the new location would’ve been busier…. it’s all worth it when a girl pees her pants & cries. Much less trick or treaters than last year… yet, I almost ran out of candy!!! I freaked out in the beginning and was giving like 4 pieces to kids but little did I know that big groups would be coming later on…. ugh… had to go begging the neighbors for candy again and they ran out too cuz they did the exact same thing. Tony wants to be something different this coming year… don’t know what but as long as he decides early and I AM NOT SEWING THE NIGHT BEFORE…. I will be ok.
It was fun dressing up as Mike Tyson Mysteries on Sat & sunday daytimes. Only black ppl recognised us though
October 27th – Haunt Tour 2016 breakdown & thoughts
Posted by admin in Past Halloweens
There are times I HATE October & the New Years, mainly because it feels like I’m emotionally PMSing the entire month and today it’s draining. I don’t know if it’s cuz I feel the weight of our short finite lives as the new year gets closer and then I start frantically evaluating my life, thinking that I could’ve & should’ve done more and achieved more and that sends me into a weird spiral of sadness, determination, promise of change, crippling fear of change which leads to stagnation, surges of the most love I’ve ever felt in my entire life and now I’m crying for I don’t even know what reason & have no explanation for this. I’m going to go out & walk the dogs while listening to haunt attraction review podcasts to chill out.
I went for a nice walk, listened to the Midsummers Scream recap podcast (months later… yes I know!!) and made a pot roast in the slow cooker. So I feel totally normal now & am contemplating going to BOTH Midsummers & Scare LA next week if they are indeed running consecutive weekends again. The schedule seems really good & the ticket pricing are on point. Plus some fan faves such as Urban Death are ONLY at Midsummers & vice versa with their loyalties to both the creators. I (secretly) love seeing/hearing of all the haunt industry drama.
Oct 13th – Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights
Their #26 year!! I was super ridic excited about this one since they brought back a lot of the “classic” movies & characters. I was pissed that the prices are now literally TWICE as much as they were than in 2011, which was the last time I went. I remember paying like $90 for the fast pass & now it’s over 2x that. We got there a little later than we wanted to, 3pm & started on the rides right away. I had the combo pass so we skipped a bunch of lines even though Cat didn’t have the daytime fastpass thingy. My fave normal ride has to be the Harry Potter one and then the backlot studio tour which was both our first times. Pretty much all of them had 3D glasses & involved some type of animated video combined with a moving car ride.
It was horrible during the time that they switched from normal park to Horror Nights because ALL, and I repeat ALL the food joints literally shut down for 1/2-1hour for the “switch over” except for the stupid hot dog place, lol. So that’s ALL we had to eat in that “free” time frame…. ugh.
As we knew from previous experiences, you cannot physically go through all the haunts in one night with the normal pass so we breezed through all the haunts at a normal time with Fast pass. They were ALL very far from eachother & we were already pooped from doing all the rides earlier…
Sooo… the Halloween & the Exorcist haunts felt repetitive & restricted, mainly because the setting is literally the Halloween house, where they nicely recreated a bunch of kills from the movies, and the Exorcist is limited to basically the 1 bedroom after a quick look at the front house stairs with the iconic regan coming down the stairs backwards scene.
My favorite was American Horror Story of course, where they covered seasons 1,4 & 5. Great job at recreating Hotel (the bed scene got me) & all the characters & Twisty was a fan favorite too.
I was dissapointed in the lack of “scare zones.” This year they only had 1 & it was the Purge Gauntlet. I really don’t understand why the Purge is scary in any way at all because I’d be one of the killers; super fun killing times! So seeing a normal girl in a glitter gymnastics costume wearing a mask yelling stupid noises is the least scary thing in the world.
Friday late morning I hit up Glendale mall to get Tony more of his fave Uniqlo undies. Then we went to Six Flags Magic Mountain where we had a slight SNAFU with Cat’s tickets & it took us over an hour to resolve it. But when we did finally hit our first coaster, it just happened to be the biggest, tallest drop one. We rode a bunch of the coasters before I had to go to the car to get our jackets & eat dinner (that took like an hour). The fast pass for the haunts was only $35 so we breezed through all the haunts super quick since there was no line for any of them. Come to think of it, the coaster lines were all really good too, like maybe 25 mins max for the hybrid coaster & the rest were less wait.
Best maze was the Willoughbys Mansion (classic haunted house) and the apocolypse one had some amazing sets with lots of real fire (and fog). The worst as the Willoughbys Garden which was too dark and very repetitive (of just bushes….. eeek….) My main complaint is the untrained actors inside the mazes who don’t do anything scary. They go for cheap/lame jump scares and half ass it most of the time… like with a shaker can or literally jump out & go “rawr” like a mountain lion, LOL. They just need better training and something to do. We were ridiculously pooped after all the walking, walking up hills & standing in line all day. I LOVED their variety of scare zones which employed some really funny & witty characters that will interact with you.
Since we both have season passes, this is one we are going to go back to next year for sure.
Saturday! So I was ELATED to wake up and discover there was the Orans Black Museum (site) down in Inglewood. So I waited til it was a normal time to make a phone call & Oran picked up and informed me that it was closed
Elation to total dissapointment in 0.4 seconds.
SO I decided to drive down to the normal African American Museum beside USC and all the exhibits were CLOSED!!!! I’m like whaaaaat.
SO I walked next door to the Science Center which was amazingly FREE and very intensive. I spent a couple hours there and then wanted to drive over to Inglewood but then got caught in traffic cuz they were having their annual block party where all the streets were shut down. I would’ve had to park super far to have to walk over & back so I drove back to North Hollywood where I went to the 1 & only horror book store & bought a couple books & walked around. Then Cat & I went to pick up Lauren & ate at an authentic Mexican joint by her grandmas house. We drove all the way to Thousand Oaks for…..
REIGN OF TERROR!!! FINALLY I get to go!! It’s like what…? 94 rooms of immersive terror… I really felt I was IN THE LOCATION, whether it is un underground rock mine or insane asylum or outside of a redneck murderers house. They let us 3 go on our own and the actors were all on point and also helped space us out so we wouldn’t be running into other groups, or bottleneck. This should be the example for every single pro amd am haunt everywhere. I mean, it didn’t get more professional or real than this one. My favorite theme was… probably the underground mine with the bridge that “fell.” OMG they had a bed mattress come up via hydraulics & a body come out of it & reach out to grab us…. I actually screamed for real & pushed past the girls to run out. LOL. That doesn’t happen often. It took maybe close to 30 minutes to complete it and then we drove back & dropped off Lauren & Cat & I went to this new interactive play called Fallen Saints by her house. It’s a new company & it was… cute… not really scary and could’ve been more interactive but it was fun & different.
Then we went back to Cats house & then walked over to Zombie Joes & met Lauren there. There was a ton of people and apparently rules were broken last year so there had to be a list of “rules” loudly addressed to the crowd before we went in… this is the 1st time they’ve done this so some incidents must have happened to make this required. There was a lot of “mainstreamers” along with the usual hauntlife crowd. The vignettes were great as usual… I made Lauren sit at the very front edge of the floor where it’s a nice uninterrupted view of the madness. On the way out, it was somehow scarier than going in…. a clown popped up right before the exit literally 4 inches from my face & I freaked out. Lauren had already run ahead & didn’t see it… LOL. She said she never wants to do that one again cuz it was too scary….
On Sunday I slept in cuz we were out pretty late last night… I met a raceplay guy downtown and we had a really really long great conversation & time together talking about slavery and such. Finally went to CliftonsLA… he massaged my feet & we talked… and talked… he’ll be wonderful.
On the way out, by the fabric district, was the Think Tank Gallery which had a horror art display going on at the time. It was marvelous… I looked at all the pieces carefully and enjoyed it as much as I could. I didn’t have time to do the secret escape room cuz I had to drive ALL the way to Tustin for…
17TH DOOR! I went by myself cuz Cat didn’t want to go again… too scary with the cockroaches & stuff. There was an Indian guy who was also going through by himself so it was us & a group of 4 women. there was some crawling, we went into a real van which moved, an octopus tentacle got caught in my hair, I think there was a real dead pig fetus which was sad…. I didn’t like seeing that so I may boycott this haunt for the future. and they had cockroaches stuck on a piece of tape… not cool. Other than that, it was sophmore year and her journey through her pregnancy and abusive boyfriend, bullying and drugs… I didn’t feel any empathy for the character so it wasn’t scary to me at all… they had much less “ghostly” and supernatural stuff like that year which made it jumpy and scary for me… this year I was like… unemphathetic and it seems like others agree with me according to other Yelp reviews. It was certainly anti-climatic, esp at the very end… we were spit out wondering “is that it!?!”
Motel 6 FU!! At the same awesome location with my free ticket from ScarelA. I got to go in by myself cuz there was somehow no lineup on this sunday!! They had an elevator ride that moved and Mable would fall on top of it… very fun! Most of it was the same with the innovative switchbacks & all. Good old fashioned non-gory fun!
All in all… an amazing memorable trip for Haunt Tour 2017… I like that we hit 2 big theme parks and Universal…. which was supposed to be the highlight but Reign of Terror outshined it by a lot! As I”m writing this (Feb 17th, 2017) I miss Halloween so much…

My Halloween season 2016 hopes & wishes
Posted by admin in Past Halloweens
This isn’t a prayer because I don’t believe in a higher power… so all I can do is do my best to make the changes that I can, control my future, control my reactions to situations, plan well, stay organized & be positive!!
It’s the last day of August & the season is fast approaching. The season has approached for many who are involved in haunts, do haunts, etc because the fucking haunts start at the end of September. So it’s basically in full swing for some & for me… very soon. I’m not organized and I feel left out of our personal haunt decisions. Maybe it’s just me being sensitive because I care too much & want to be a bigger influence but I know there’s a lot of things that are beyond ALL our control.
Things I’ve realized about myself as a person during haunt season;
1. I get stressed out. most of my stress can be dissolved by understanding that there are things not in my control & accept them. Secondly, I just need to have better time management & not procrastinate so much. I always leave EVERYTHING to the last minute & then am rushing in a blind panic to get things done. This year I will try better at these two things. Because I get stressed out I also get:
2. OVERLY dramatic. I’m sure this is comical to those around me and I am completely aware I am dramatic.
On to my Halloween wishes & hopes:
I hope we get our OLD haunt location back instead of moving to the new mall location.
If we are forced to move, I hope we can seal the indoor location… please please please let this happen…
I hope I finish all the costumes in time & find all the items for it
I hope my husband is a willing scareactor at the Haunt all the saturdays he can & enjoys it!
I hope my husband goes to all the local haunts I’d love to take him to & actually enjoys them
I hope I get to hit all the Los Angeles haunts I want to (because we didn’t last year) and the lines aren’t totally ridiculous that we miss some.
I hope Sherwood Scares in Northridge comes back this year
I hope we escape all the LA escape rooms we choose to do
I hope lots of kids come trick or treating to our house this year. Please don’t be a “dead block.”
I hope I feel the love from those around me, those close to me & from all haunt enthusiasts I encounter.
The most important love is the love from my husband. I hope we have the best Halloween season together ever.
Scare LA 2016 report!
Posted by admin in Past Halloweens
I came out on Friday afternoon & had a couple hours to hit the fabric district & get fabric for our Mike Tyson Mysteries (cartoon show) costumes… of course I got totally distracted at Santee Alley & had to buy appropriate sized hair flowers for myself instead. But when I finally did hit the fabric district, I couldn’t find any sweatshirt type material that was either thick enough & the correct color… and I HIT EVERY STORE & showed the employees the picture… no luck. I thought about making it in velour but it wouldn’t be exact.
I was also really proud of myself for going INTO the Cecil Hotel & sitting in the lobby while waiting for Cat to pick me up!! I got scared just walking outside of it but I know now that I don’t think I want to stay overnight in it. I can’t tell if I’m either too scared or just over it.
We went to Little Tokyo because neither of us had ever been there & managed to not buy a lot of cute crap we didn’t need.
Stayed at Carols house both nights as she was just 10 mins away from the Pasedena Convention center. We walked all the way to Alhambra downtown & witnessed a crazy car crash that randomly happened in front of the bar we were at.
So I was Twisty the Clown on both days… I really wanted to be Samara Morgan but my fucking hair is too short and I realize now that my hair isn’t going to be long enough for Halloween…. especially since our haunt starts the beginning of October!!! This is the worst… I FUCKING HATE GREAT CLIPS.
Ok, so it was a clusterfuck of hoardes of random lines on Saturday morning & the staff wasn’t prepared for the amount of people. I got my badge & hit the show floor & haunts… Saturday was only like 2 classes & the rest of the time I got to see the mini-haunts, 1 presentation & the exhibition floor… THis year I went by myself because everyone was working but it was EVEN better alone because I talked to EVERYONE. I just started random conversations with lots of awesome people and connected with our love of haunts & Halloween. I bought a book & a couple other small things, did all but 2 haunts (the lines were ridiculous!!!) and went to the Haunters: The Movie panel where there was mega drama between Russ & a more “traditional” haunt owner…. like serious drama, but it’s all on Youtube anyways. I sat with a really hyper haunt enthusiast at lunch at Rubios & tried to encourage him to do his own Youtube review channel. It really is amazing that there are so many legit “haunt enthusiasts” to share this with and it’s amazing that I can now label myself one as well. I am extremely grateful for shows like ScareLA & Midsummers Scream for bringing us all together.
So Carol picked up at 6 & we went to check out the big, new Din Tai Fung at the mall. It was her last meal in Los Angeles & we wanted to go somewhere really good. I don’t think they have the same array & authentic asian food in Philly but I could be wrong. The wait was 90 minutes, so we walked around the mall & had a snack. Dinner was awesome. I hope they open a Din Tai Fung in Vegas because it would be packed from open to close.
Sunday morning, I got ready in my costume & as I was leaving, Carol & her mom were packing up the car to do their cross country drive to Philly… I’ll miss her!!
So I literally was in classes from 11am-6pm. Non stop… I didn’t get to even go into the show floor or anything. I had to run across the st to the shopping complex to get a coffee because the Starbucks at the convention was too packed. It was a good thing I brought some lunch because I only had 10 mins in between each class. All the classes were useful except for the sound class…. he didn’t have any knowledge of actually setting up the speakers or anything technical, he only talked about making soundtracks. I realized that we couldn’t run pneumatics off ONE generator… we are quite limited as to what we can do with one generator……
SInce I registered late I couldn’t get into any of the make n take classes & they were making some cool shit this year.
It sucked because I really wanted to buy some more books on the show floor & talk to a few other booths but didn’t have time. There is just SO much programming packed into 15 total hours that you really need to be fucking organized. The first year I was in total AWE that this even exsisted and this year I was well versed in manuevering it better. The NEXT year (this will now be an annual event unless I check out Midsummers Scream) I will be sure to register early & get into ALL the make & take classes. Some of the bigger panel presentations are on youtube so I caught up on those once I got home. It was extremely worth it again… especially at such a low price with discounts & this year the class pass included all the make & takes with no additional fees. Midsummers was like that as well.
ScareLA 2016 & 2015
Posted by admin in Past Halloweens
So it’s July 18th & I decided to go to ScareLA for sure again. I carefully compared the programming & classes for Midsummers & ScareLA & I chose ScareLA because of the location, time and most importantly the type of classes offered & the amount of mini haunts showcased. Midsummers seems more like a general fan show, which is super awesome & I’d have fun at anyways but Scare is more established & offers more advanced & specific classes geared to haunt owners. So that was an easy choice. It also seemed like the classes were more intimate & of a make-and-take nature vs. a lecture. Maybe next year I’ll check out Midsummers.
Stayed at Chads & I’ll miss them now that they’ve moved to Hawaii. He took me to shabu shabu for 1st time. I remember he was literally getting approved for the Hawaii house as we were eating.
I realized I never wrote down some memories for ScareLA 2015. I got the tix for Cat & I for only $30 each, and we had the full class pass one too! I was Twisty the Clown of course. I’ll probably be twisty one day & then Samara the next day for this year.
So we skipped the big ass line up outside cuz he had the pimp passes but we still had a line up inside for something else. Right away it was class time & we split up… I was in animatronics & Cat was in Haunted LA graveyards or something like that . Most of the day was a blur of classes & the showfloor, but mainly classes. We did the zombie clown makeup class where I made Cat into a… zombie clown, lol. I think we watched Urban Death that day too; it was a mini show. The next day was a blur too…. lots of the same, classes, showfloor, and then we did all the lil mini haunts at once. Lastly we went to the AHS Freak Show panel before I had to leave back to Vegas.
Best Class: painting techniques
Only complaint: There’s not enough time to do everything. I didn’t see any of the panels because I was in classes. Too much overlap with so much programming. 15 mins in between classes is not enough time to go over to the show floor or see a panel.
Didn’t even go into the screening room at all! This year I may bring my lunch like a schoolkid just so I don’t have more time to experience everything.
Halloween 2013
Posted by admin in Past Halloweens
Because I”m getting old & I literally can’t remember jack squat about this year…. I know Goretorium had already closed down so I never got to have my Halloween Wedding. I remember dressing up as Samara (Ring) and Tony was answering the door with a mask on… then he’d take off the mask & give out the candy. While the kids guards were down I’d come up behind him in Samara’s creepy way, lol. It scared the bejesus outta the kids (and adults) & the neighbors were talking about it for days after. `
Oct 17th I went to Knotts Scary Farm with Lauren and TJ.
Oct 18th Lauren and I went to Coffin Creek by ourselves because TJ had a fit about something or other & didn’t want to go. It was pretty good!
Backtrack to Halloween 2012 memories
Posted by admin in Past Halloweens

I didn’t write about Halloween 2012/2013 at all so I have to go back & jot down notes before I get too old to remember.
2012 I had just gotten divorced so everything was this weird blur… except for Halloween. It was someone one of my busier ones where I spent a lot of time with friends doing various stuff, lol. Chad was living here at the time & Mike A. was here visiting as well as my ex-hubby and since we’re all friends, we did a lot of stuff. Amazing Jonathan has a haunted house inside one of the Fremont st hotels & it was by far one of the most innovative ones we’d been to. I went with Virtumike & Chad… the first room was a maze made out of old slot machines which we legitimately got lost in. Then we went up the stairs to a “hotel check in” & the rest was a blur. I remember entering a bedroom set with a huge mirror (reflecting the bedroom set) except that it wasn’t a mirror at all…. we had to step through it to enter the next room… very cool!
That was also the year that Hard Rock hotel did a haunted house in their nightclub Vanity… which was the worst fucking haunt I’d ever been to. It was literally “how not to do a haunt.” I went with the entire crew, Rob, Virtumike, Ackerman, Chad cuz we got a stupid Groupon. It was seriously stupid.
Chad, Matt, Ackerman, Virtumike & I also did the Trilogy of Terror which was cool. It was my first time going through trailer haunts done so well & utilized the space very well. The flying vampire at the end was neat & one of the exits we had to feed a werewolf & then it broke out of the cage & chased us. I like the lil interactive bits like that.
Oct 30th - Ackerman & I went to Palominos where the owner (being a mega halloween freak like me) transformed the entire upstairs of the establishment into a FREE haunted house!! IT wasn’t super scary but it was a lil creepy at parts & a fun hangout. Wait… was this Halloween night & not the night before??? I went as the Nurse from Silent Hill & scared some of the guests walking through the haunt, lol.
Halloween Day!! It was the first day of SEMA and Matt’s car was in it… so we decided since it’s on Halloween we should totally wear costumes. So on Halloween morning, I wake up to all these texts from Matt saying ” HURRY UP & COME DOWN. I”M THE ONLY ONE IN COSTUME!! NO ONE ELSE IS WEARING A COSTUME!!” ROFL. So I had to hustle and get dim sum to go & drive over to SEMA convention. Not many people dressed up, though a few ppl wore a cape or something equally as silly. People who did recognise Matt’s amazing Portal costume were super excited. I was Chun Li & had to pose in front of cars, lol. SEMA has never coincided with Halloween again after that.
On Halloween night…. I handed out candy at Tonys house (not many kids came) & dressed like the nurse from Silent Hill the video game. Afterwards, when he went to bed, I went down to Planet Hollywood to where Ackerman was staying & we went to GORETORIUM!! IT was busy on Halloween night & there were way more scareactors than a normal non-Halloween night. It wasn’t scary at all but the sets were all high budget, gory & elaborate. No real “scare” elements to it though, just a lot of gore. Did we go to Palominos haunted house after?? I think we did. I have pictures somewhere!
I remember we went to the Insert Coins Halloween party & Chad dressed up as Queen Elizabeth & then “accidentally” hit one of the bouncers with his staff & we got kicked out!!! ROFL. There were some really amazing costumes there though. Matt dressed up as the video game character from Portal. I think I was the nurse from Silent Hill. After we got kicked out we headed over to the Drag Queen bowling alley.
Did Chad have a halloween party at his house when Ackerman came?
I remember I really wanted to get married at Goretorium but that didn’t happen… booo…
I remember going to Fremont st a few times & stuff was happening there. I vaguely remember another stand alone haunt right on Fremont st but we never went into it.
