First reflections on Halloween 2008

Halloween in New England 2008 – one sentance to sum it up… commercialized and somewhat lacking in true heart, soul and spirit.
Maybe we looked at the wrong places. Don’t get me wrong; I loved every minute of it… but it wasn’t all that I was expecting. It’s like when you’ve never been to Hawaii and expect it to be this undisturbed, clean, unpolluted palm tree paradise and if you don’t leave Honululu, you’ll see it as just another American city. New York City is an adult city, there’s not much kids. And without the innocent kids excitement of Halloween, much is lost and it becomes a bunch of drunken adults thinking they can get away with 176% more shenanigans than without a costume. Maybe I’m just too immature & innocent to enjoy those to the fullest (ok, basically I don’t understand any of it since I don’t drink)
